26" x 17" Mixed media on wood with black wood frame. This wooden puzzle was designed and subsequently cut into pieces by an artist incarcerated. These pieces were shared with other artist in the prison, as well as two members of the A.R.T. & Justice team, allowing each person to complete their own segment of the wider owl. The final painting showcases the individual creative styles of diverse artists, placed together with care to great an image that is greater than the sum of its parts. The owl is significant across diverse cultures, and this owl carries the vision of a circle of artists, inviting you – the viewer – to find your meaning in this magnificent animal.
